Audit areas settings

To configure and make changes to audit areas, use the left-hand menu bar to navigate to the Audits tab, then to the Area settings section.

Audit areas

Audit areas are the primary organizational units representing the audited entity, such as a department, operational team, system, or process. To conduct an audit, there must be an associated audit area.

Area List

The main view of audit areas displays all existing areas. To display specific results, use the filtering options. There is also an edit option available by clicking the pencil icon located to the right of the area name.

Create

To create a new audit area, press the +New button in the top-right corner. A screen for creating the audit area will appear, as shown in the graphic below.

To create a new area, fill out the following fields:

  • Name - the name of the area

  • Area Leader - the primary user responsible for the area. One of the potential auditors during the creation of a new audit (depending on the settings)

  • Notify Area Leader about planned audits - option to notify the Area Leader of each planned audit via email

  • Auditor Group - the group from which the auditor will be selected during the creation of a new audit (depending on the settings)

  • Audit Type - the type of audit associated with this area. Selecting the type displays appropriate checklists

  • Checklist - the checklist from which questions for conducting the audit will be sourced

  • Audit OK/NOK Threshold - a percentage value that determines whether the audit will be considered completed with a positive or negative result. More on this can be read in the audit score section

  • Corrective Plan Owner - the user who will become the owner of the correction action plan designed to assign tasks to address issues identified by the audit

  • Corrective Plan Assignee - the user responsible for the corrective actions included in the correction action plan

  • Automatic Correction Plan - set whether the correction action plan will be created automatically

  • Description - a description of the audit area (optional)

  • Org. Unit - the organizational cell where the audit area is located

  • Active - option to set the activity status of the area. An active area will trigger audits and appear in the system. An inactive area will be disabled and only visible in Areas Settings.

Edit

To edit an existing audit area, click the pencil icon located to the right of the selected area. After clicking, the audit area edit form will appear, similar to the creation form described above.
