Visit to a leading manufacturer of plastic drain pipes

Thanks to the courtesy of Ms. Sylwia Kruczyńska from Amiblu Poland, I had the opportunity to visit the plastic pipe production plant in Dąbrowa Górnicza and conduct an Action Audit presentation for a group of lean specialists. The meeting was related to the organization of a training game session Koromo by LeanCenter.pl.

The meeting was a great opportunity to establish contacts with people mainly from Silesia (although there were also people from other parts of Poland) who deal with lean on a daily basis as external consultants or as people employed for this purpose directly in the organization. We didn't have to wait long for the positive effects of networking and I can already announce that as Ruby Logic we will appear at the 5th Academy Smart Production conference organized on September 28 in Tychy. The patronage of the conference is the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, so you can expect lectures at the highest level and excellent organization.

Coming back to the meeting, each of us (I assume you didn't come across this blog by accident) has heard about lean, knows something about it and is able to use several lean tools, e.g. 5S or Gemba Walk. However, I must admit that no study I have read before has given me as much clarity on the subject of lean as the introduction by Jakub Kocjan. Unfortunately, I did not participate in the Koromo game itself, but based on the knowledge presented, I am convinced that it is a very good investment for teams striving to increase customer satisfaction.
